VT Horse Tests Positive for EEE
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets was notified on September 14th that a horse located in Whiting, Vermont has tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis (EEE). The horse began showing signs of illness, including lack of coordination, on September 6th and was likely infected between August 27th and September 3rd as the result of a bite by an infected mosquito. Nichol Named 'Obie' Winner

William C. Nichol of State College, Centre County, is the winner of the 2012 Obie Award, the top honor of the All-American Dairy Show.
