Abelia ‘Radiance’ from PlantHavenAbelia ‘Radiance’
Abelia ‘Radiance’ from PlantHaven is a white variegated variety that stands out above any other because of its vigor and ability to maintain color and density throughout the year. New foliage is medium green with creamy yellow margins, aging to silvery green with cream-white margins. Its foliage has proved to be more stable than other white Abelia varieties and produces minimal water shoots. The vivid crimson stem colors provide a dramatic contrast to the variegated foliage. The tight compact habit reaches 3 feet by 5 feet at maturity and holds a beautiful form throughout the season. Fragrant, white, tubular flowers appear from mid-summer through fall. Diseases of Trees and Shrubs, Second EditionBuy this book!
Diseases of Trees and Shrubs, Second Edition
Take it from a satisfied reader:
“This book compiles a GREAT deal of useful information about plant pathology. It covers, as any good work about plant disease should, fertilization, nutritional deficiencies, and environmental factors such as drought, freezing, lightning, air pollution, water contamination etc. before attempting to fix the problem, the work stresses the causal effects and, similarly, the visual pitfalls that may provide evidence of an unseen insect symptom (galling, nematodes, etc.) The work was written mainly for the temperate zone, but using it in my home sub-tropics was an eye-opener! Recommended reading for Horticulturalists in the upper echelon, or for Pathologists as a reference, and a reminder to look to the outlying areas for an answer, It's always there!” (Authors are Wayne Sinclair and Howard H. Lyon)
